Hands on Titanium YM

I was walking around the gardens mall in palm beach gardens yesterday(visiting from OOT)
and wandered into a jewlery/watch store. I walked into the Rolex section because it looked like they had a lot of exhibition models and saw it! The sales person was super nice and let me try it while we chatted. He told me they just received it a few days ago and that it would be on display for quite a while before being allocated to one of their clients.

It is really great! Incredibly light. Way lighter than my Pelagos, also much thinner. Matte dial and bezel are awesome! The only negative for me was lack of glidelock but that’s about it.

Probably not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s the only watch left on my wishlist. I sent the picture to my SA and he said they haven’t even seen one yet and they are a super high volume AD. I’ve been told they will be very limited so keeping fingers crossed!

I think it’s a good look. A month after Watches and Wonders my SA told me this watch had generated the most inquiries at the time.

I think its a great watch!
I just don't care for the black out bezel myself.
I love Ti watches though.

I’m glad I could finally see a photo other than something from Rolex’s marketing materials. I like everything about this watch in terms of its visual qualities.

I like YMs in general, but find this one underwhelming. Looks more utilitarian than a regular Sub, in a bad way. It used to be the opposite with YMs. This one doesn't look and doesnt feel like a luxury watch. They really messed up the identity of the YM.

I feel the first titanium watch should have been a Sea Dweller personally. It’s sort of out of sync with the YM range for me.

That being said I really like it.

It's not going to be for everyone, but it's the only watch on my current 'want' list - I love the utilitarian look of it - just wish it was no date...

Great AD in the Gardens Mall. Hamilton Jewelers. I live in Virginia and thats where I am on the list for a gmt. Visit palm beach gardens 3-4 times a year and it will make for a great last minute trip. Time will tell its been 5 months for me. They may get it to you quick it’s beautiful and seems rare. Sincerely

Tried one on when it was first released and thought it was awesome. Like you though, really wish it had a Glidelock on.

It certainly has piqued my curiosity but, I’d have to see it in the flesh.

Agreed, I think it would have been awesome with an oysterflex option.
No date would have been awesome, but I’m probably in minority.
I just wonder why the AD said they will keep it in exhibition for a good while before allocating to anyone.

Wasn't the Deep Sea Challenge first and isn't it all titanium?
