Quality independent watchmaker for service near San Antonio, TX

Hi gents. I have an older no date Sub that is running fast and needs a movement service. I want to take it to a qualified independent watch maker with a Rolex parts account for service. Any recommendations? Also appreciate any tips on searching for high-quality independent watchmakers by location.

RSC is in Texas. How close it is to you I do not know. Is the watch too old for them to service?

Yeah, I’ve had several pieces serviced at the Dallas service center. They do good work. They do not want to service this particular watch. Long story and don’t want to get into it.

I’m looking for someone local with a Rolex parts account known for good work.

If you don't mind shipping the watch, I can certainly recommend Phillip Ridley. He's a great, certified watch maker who specializes in Rolex and the son of an even better well-known watchmaker.

I found him via his dad, who now only works on quite old/vintage pieces.

Thank you for the recommendation! I don’t mind shipping the watch for a quality repair. I’d love to get his contact info.

Drop by Broadway Watches located at Broadway and Sunset in San Antonio.
The owner Auston Curry has 35 years of experience and was trained in
Switzerland. I’ve seen watches that look like they’d been run over by a train and after he was done with them they looked brand new.
