Don’t stretch yourself. Go GMT!

I usually rotate between these two watches each day and while both are special to me, the Kermit feels a bit more special.

Buy what you like best. If you're buying for re-sale, don't buy. Neither should lose much value, but the chances of increasing in value, especially in the short term, are slim. You have to love it every time you put it on or don't bother buying. If the clothes you wear allow you to sport the Kermit with regularity, it's a keeper.

This. It's exactly what I was going to say. Forget about resale value. That's a crapshoot and a fool's errand. Nobody knows what future prices will be. I buy watches to wear, not put in a safe or safety deposit box.

My personal choice, which should be absolutely irrelevant to the OP, is for the 5-digit GMT.

if you're stretching to buy the Kermit, I would just go with the GMT- its not even a compromise either

Between the two I’d go Kermit.

I’d go for the one in better condition.

If you are a vintage Rolex buyer, you’re going to end up with both eventually anyway

For just slightly more than the price of the Kermit, I would go GMT, and then add a Harrods. Best of both worlds.

Personally, GMT. But I'm just some guy with an opinion.

There are only a few Kermits on the local market in Chicago. If the seller is who I think it is, and the Kermit is the one I think it is (I'm being a little presumptuous here) then I'd pass on that particular Kermit.

As another poster above stated, I prefer the Maxi dial, it was only available on the Kermit in the 5 digit lineup, and that is enough for me to choose the Kermit over a 5 digit GMT.

If you took price and value out of the equation, which would you choose?
