Omega Service in Pittsburgh

Can anyone recommend someone who can service an Omega in Pittsburgh, PA? Henne and Orr's won't do it because they apparently only service brands for which they're ADs. I don't really want to ship my watch away. It runs fine, and I only want to have preventative maintenance for general upkeep done.

I'm sure that it's a common industry practice (servicing only watches for which you're an AD), but it seems overly restrictive to me. If your in-house tech has the bandwidth to give a watch a good once-over, who cares if it's not one of your AD brands? I still want to pay you money for a service. Heaven forbid that I ever need to have my Smiths Everest serviced.

Thanks!

Henne and Orr's probably doesn't have a parts account with Omega, which would be a good reason to decline servicing your watch. I haven't researched it, but I would be surprised if any watchmaker in Pittsburgh has a parts account with Omega right now.

Here's a link to the AWCI "Find a Professional" search engine, in case you would like to search its directory of watchmakers near you:

You were just a few months late, sadly. I think Henne just separated with Omega a few months ago.

Omega Service

Casa D'oro in Cranberry is the Omega dealer for the area. I don't know about their service quality.

Probably not any longer. A search on Omega's site for dealers/service centers actually in Pittsburgh shows zero are there now. Uniontown, PA is the nearest dealer.

I face the same pathetic situation in the Buffalo, NY area. My nearest AD is now in Rochester, about 80 miles away. Omega is ruining it for some of us.

I have used Joyce's Jewelry in Uniontown for Omega service work and would recommend giving them a call or stopping in....good luck.

OMEGA Service in Pittsburgh

Years ago (maybe 10) there was an Omega boutique in Ross Park Mall IIRC. I took a Seamaster 300 there for service. They just sent it to the Swatch Service Center, which is what I would do now if I needed Omega Service. I have never had a problem sending watches out of town for service. There are few places locally that I would have a watch serviced, and if they did not have access to real authentic new parts I would not use them.

Yeah, that boutique closed. Pittsburgh was never going to be a good market for an Omega boutique unfortunately.
