Horsepower, Torque and Steerage.

My wife had oversteer and understeer explained to her on the radio the other day...made me smile.

Understeer, she was told, is when you ram the front of the car into the wall, and oversteer is when you stuff the boot of the car into the wall.

Horsepower apparently, can define how fast you hit the wall, and Torque decides how far you can push the wall when you've hit it.

Understeer is when the driver goes ‘Oh s**t’

Oversteer is when the passenger goes ‘Oh s**t’

Steerage is the area I usually ride in on an airplane.

With the people with a babushka and a chicken under their arm.
