Rolex GMT-Master II Pepsi Custom Ceramic Blue/Red Bezel 116710

Apologies for the basic question but I am researching to purchase a 116710 and really like the 'Pepsi' or 'Coke' bezel.
However I saw 2 different listings of "Custom Blue Red Bezel and not really sure what that is? Are these aftermarket parts? How do I know they are genuine Rolex parts? I read that Rolex does not touch these custom watches?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd guess that was a 116710 LN with painted GMT hand and an aftermarket bezel - which doesn't fit too well... The OEM 'Pepsi' is 126710.

I’m no expert but the green lettering on the dial may suggest it is a 116170LN, as that had the green GMT hand.

I have the last LN before it was discontinued, take a look at a current model, that green lettering may give it away as a modified watch.

It’s either an aftermarket bezel and hand or OEM parts but used on the previous 11xx GMT reference.

I’d find another watch personally

Thanks much. I was not sure myself and this has to be an aftermarket bezel.
Will continue looking, thanks

Good decision.

There were only two 'standard' models of the 116710 - the 'original' blue/black 116710BLNR, and the all black 116710LN.

The SS Pepsi didn't come about until later, as the 126710BLRO

That red/blue looks awful with the green lettering

The whole crown and crown guard area is not from an actual watch, this is some sort of mockup

Got a PM from the original poster with what appeared to be a sketchy eBay link to a watch... tread carefully.

Also OP, there was never a "coke" (black/red) ceramic bezel (6 digit ref #). Keep that in mind too!!

That is some kind of photoshop mock up. By someone who isn't very good. There is something super sloppy where the GMT hand goes over "GMT-MASTER". And the lines under it are a complete mess.

Thanks all for your gracious offer to help.
Yes, I am better informed now and hence moving away from this.
Sites like Ebay which offer authentication is marketed to provide peace of mind to novices or first time buyers (like me) and every watch is authenticated by them before being shipped to the buyer.
I wonder how these watches pass authentication or whether bezel/dial is even a part of the authentication process.
Thanks once again

I saw a Tiffany dial OP for sale this week but with a “custom” dial. My understanding is also that they’d want to replace all parts with OEM if sent to RSC so for that reason alone I’m out. Realise that plenty of good indies but to me, I want the option for it to be serviced and all legit.
