Icon17 Picked up my new daily driver!

Been wanting a large luxurious vehicle for a while, this one popped up for sale in just the right spec and condition.

1998 Lexus LS400, 4 litre V8, it drives wonderfully and is a lot more fuel efficient than I anticipated.

I love it. beautiful design. These older cars provide a more relaxing driving experience in my opinion.

Excellent purchase. That car will outlast you. The Lexus LS line is so over-engineered. So much better than the 7-series & S-class of that era. There are also drop-in kits to replace the now antique GPS system with one for Apple CarPlay. I was looking to do the same, as I'm eyeing a GS450H purchase.

Congrats, excellent choice. One of the best engines ever made. There are folks who have gotten over a million miles on it.

Definitely! although it might not be a perfectly sensible car in this small country, they hate everything that isn't a subcompact 3 cylinder over here

It's definitely got a calming effect, the old Volvo has the same effect

There was a Subaru WRX that wanted some action on the way back, and I smoked him I'm surprised at how stable and quiet it is at 200km/h+ (120mph?).
It'll be a swift little trip to Geneva in two weeks, nothing but autobahn. If I can cancel my flight still

The S and 7 series were never an option, I've driven the latest S a couple of times, but simply cannot afford to own one at this point in life.
Maybe one day, the S680 is my absolute dream daily.

Oh and for those wondering, yes that is €1,89/liter.
That would be $7,95/gallon.

My grandfather had a white one same spec as his last car before he stopped driving. An amazing machine and my aunt still drives it today.

Congrats on the ride!!

Oh gosh, I thought SoCal was steep. Currently around $5.50/gal (EUR 1.32/liter).
