*** GS Caliber 9S 25th Anniv. LEs ***
As leaked in December by GS on their websites and later on quietly removed, GS is introducing today 2 new limited editions to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their 9S caliber - SBGH311 (9S85) and SBGR325 (9S65).
Both watches will be housed in the 37mm case, never used before by GS in the global market. Beware, this case is pretty thick - 13,3mm. One may have an idea how this case looks in practice searching photos of the ref. SBGH241 (a special WAKO LE from 2018, still available at this boutique). SBGH311 carries an entirely new dial pattern achieved by the process of electroforming (whatever it means, it is a pitty IMHO that there is less craftsmanship and more technology in this dial, unless I miss something). The dial is supposed to have a mottled effect. SBGR325 is a „simple” sunray finish, yet in a very appealing clean take. Each of the watches will be a limited run of 1.200 units (half of them for the local Japanese market). SBGH311 SBGR325 |

Nice watches. Too small for my tastes but I like the dials.

I'm a big fan of Seiko and their many wonderful dials going back to the 1950s and 60s, but that new SBGH311 dial pattern just looks like water damage to me.
