If it wasn't for having to take two days off work to do it, I would have just winged it. Oh well, I'll be outside catching 88% of an eclipse anyway

Well, it was impressive here. At the moment it was a total eclipse, it seemed it was evening dark. The lights of the homes all went on with their sensors being triggered. The street lights cam on as well. This happened around 3:15. I had found real glasses that the kids could use. It was a cool experience, but to close schools was utterly ridiculous.

We had great weather in NE Ohio - mostly sunny with a few light clouds. It was fun to experience the change in lighting and temperature as the sun faded behind the moon. The burst of light as the sun reappeared was awesome!!
