I'm living in Japan now and the answer is no. Don't even waste your time. Even if they had something in stock, odds of the AD agreeing to sell it to a foreigner are very slim. On the other hand, everything is available at the grey market shops.

Hey,

Well, in short-nothing!

In Thailand Rolex Ad were nice, kind and even put my name for an op41green :) (I know, I’m not counting to be emailed)

In Japan at lost places they didn’t even let me talk with them, see watches on display- very disappointed.

But hey the vacation with my family was amazing so who cares, in the end of the day, it’s all just watches

Same one year later, not local, not happening. And even then for anything SS, need to have deep pockets. Thailand really doesn’t get a lot of watches for their population. 100% you’re better off sticking with your home country AD.

And yes to above^, Thai SAs (and Thai people in general) are wonderful to talk to and be around. Never rude like you encounter at a lot of U.S. ADs. But with that niceness comes flat out misinformation……a U.S. AD for example will simply turn you away. A Thai SA might make you think you have a chance and is just being pleasant, in reality it’s not a chance. There’s no ‘luck’ and get a random call there, management would be INFURIATED for something to not go to the backlogs of Thai people and to a tourist first.
