My AD has just lost its license as well. My SA is cool to work with. This is the second time, I have to start from scratch again. This process stinks.

Good to know about Brown & Company. I haven’t purchased from them, but have purchased from Mayors & they definitely seem to prioritize the big spenders for the more coveted pieces. I’ve only received less desirable pieces from them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have a two watch history (Omega) with Brown and Co (Roswell) placed on “list” with two different SAs over the last 3yrs, multiple check ins and never received a call. On the surface they are a larger volume dealer but the SAs have their script down pat: “we only receive 8-10 watches a month and all I’m left with is X 36mm model to sell”. Same old baloney so many experience.

Based on the photos of the store, I would say they weren’t a fit for being a Rolex AD anymore.
There are still independents left with this older style Rolex buildout. I expect them to also be relieved of their AD status in due time. This isn’t the Rolex of ten years ago and those kind of strorefronts and displays simply aren’t acceptable any longer. |

I was surprised to find out today that Tara lost its license. The store and location are rough but it was some of the best customer service I experienced.
I am in Greater ATL and have been to all of the AD's, Tara is the only one that actually got me a watch so far and Im not asking for hard models either at any of them. After my first visit to Tara's I got a handwritten thank you note in the mail for coming in (the other ADs didn't do that) within 2 months I had a call for my first watch to come get it. I am also trying to buy for first AP and PP (refuse to go grey market for now) and the experiences have been much different to the point at one of the stores I thought about trying to switch SA's. Im young and want to have a long history with a local AD but getting the foot in the door has been brutal. I was told the AP boutique in Lenox Mall is losing its license and AP will be consolidating under Brown and Co in Buckhead later in 2024. |

I will go ahead and say I find that nearly impossible to believe having the relationship I have with them. I mean a personal relationship not a spend relationship

Am I crazy to think this is bad for the store, good for the grey market.
No more Rolex, less people buying stuff to get on the good side of the store in order to buy a Rolex. Less Rolex outlet, grey market will become a more do-able way to buy the Rolex that you want.

A while ago, at the Roswell location, I dropped by for a new strap for my Calatrava and they offered me a PP Pilot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

It was at the height of the craziness, but it DID happen. It was a tall, blonde lady with hair just below her shoulders. I get down to Atlanta a couple times a year if you would like to call me a liar to my face.

Something is coming in term of Rolex AD, I just found out that another online store that used to be Rolex AD and now no longer. But I see they have consistent inventory. Anyhow, I learned a lot from this curiosity.
Thanks, |

An AD lost their license in my area.
It would be interesting to know if Rolex sends more pieces to other AD's in the area when this happens. |

Since Tara lost their AD status, looks like they are selling the "old" inventory that was "not available". Looks like they are fresh out of the coffin. SMH

Unbelievable. "Pre-owned/Never worn" Sub-Date for $19,900 2 GMT's 3 Daytonas. Guess they are unloading their safe at insane prices. |

I’m surprised that Rolex even allows ambiguity as to who is licensed and who is not.

How interesting! They have an old money daytona and a new one been sitting on the safe, and haven't offered these to their clients?

Asking them would have helped you out especially to know their status, maybe they didn't want to tell you they lost their status as AD.
