Facial recognition software is often used by law enforcement to identify suspects in crimes, when they have the suspect caught on video, as in this case being discussed. There are so many cameras that catch citizens’ images, when they are totally unaware. Pretty rude response she's just trying to help the person, and she's right. Many states nowadays have gotten approval to incorporate FRS in investigations.
