New releases coming 04/29
Apparently Rolex is planning a "partial" release of the new 2020 watches on 04/29. Will be done online.

With most AD's now closed due to the Coronavirus (certainly in the UK), Rolex and most other watch brands have to announce the new watches that they would have shown at the trade shows earlier in the year so online is about the only way that this can be done in the current climate. Assuming that the date the OP has is correct (no reason to doubt it as Rolex has to do something) it will be interesting to see what Rolex is refreshing within its range.

Interested to see if a new Coke finally appears, be it white gold or platinum. If the latter, would that make it a Ploke?

EDIT: I don't know why this was even posted. The guy on IG even says all he did was switch out a SD4k bezel on a Sub. This is nothing new. |

That’s a rough photoshop job...they didn’t even bother to put the Rolex coronet below Swiss made at the 6 o clock position. |

This matches what my longtime SA told me a few weeks ago before the AD closed down.
He said then “online launch in April followed by some local and regional trunk shows later.” I believe that any new models/updates were already in the production pipeline before things stopped so I think this will happen versus waiting a year. |

I highly doubt it, but I don't know more than anyone else. My reasoning for my guess is that Rolex is closed and no one HAS to do anything for the foreseeable future, even as we roll out of the pandemic. I don't see a reschedules and packed Baselworld.
I would conserve cash and not spend a single penny that I did not have to, and if holding the 2020 release until 2021 helps to do that, it's a solid decision. |

Like everyone else on here I have no idea how true this may or may not be but I wonder about the optics of a move like this by Rolex if it were true.
Given the dire situation the entire word is finding itself in with this awful pandemic (that hasn’t even peaked yet) would it not appear unbelievably crass for Rolex to choose this date to launch new models of what are essentially luxury baubles? Particularly at a time when people are losing their jobs/homes/businesses and loved ones. Personally I hope they show a little more class and hold off to a time when the world is in recovery and it can be seen as something to fuel optimism. JMPO. |

It’s true. My AD messaged me on March 18th saying that the new releases will be online on April 29th. Mark my words!

Logically it's probably better for them to just accept the situation and release the 2020 models online so that they can go back to the regular schedule for 2021. |

I don’t think it would be unreasonable for Rolex to update their website with new models for 2020. They don’t need to make a big deal about it and hold a press conference. They could just update their website. Maybe just wishful thinking on my part.

Rolex will release them. Breitling has already been doing this as did seiko. Are we to believe that Rolex will not release any new models this year? That’s silliness. As for the 29th I mean who knows, but soon.
