Help with info on found Rolex

I found this Rolex I believed belonged to my x-father-in-law. It looks old. black face srounded by blue, date (actual day, Saturday the 9th and date), name on face is Clinton from what I can see. It is a rolex, I took it to a dealer. they said it might be so old and a collectible. it has a world time bezel around the large chrystal. I will send a pic if you would like. Michelle

Looks like my last post didn't post, sorry for the duplicate.

Interesting indeed.....what makes you think it's a Rolex....the dial text doesn't appear to say that....did you post the wrong photo by chance?

That is an old automatic Clinton watch. I believe the OP is confused. Maybe the second hand sweep or something lead her to believe it was a Rolex.

This is a picture from eBay. Didn't you read the description on the watch or are you selling it? Come clean please.

OK Guys

That is not the picture of what I have but the closest and yes it's from ebay and not NOT a Rolex, you are correct. I will video it and post it once I figure it out today. I took it to Ben Bridge Jewlers here in Austin who is a Rolex dealer. All three people took a look at it under their scopes and confirmed Rolex. Yes, it does say Clinton, that's why I was confused. But then I saw the Rolex symbols, that's why I questioned it. OK, on the back of the time piece itself it's stamped:

in the very middle: 20 ATM
all around the time piece on the back: water resistant shock resistant all stainless steal automatic

then on the band: Rolex symbol on clasp and underneath of stainless band where the clasp is is says: Patented and Suiss made, there is is something I cannot read like steel back. then I noticed on the back of the time piece in two corners is has 375, then just notice on the7375 then 19 under it.

This is crazy.......it is not a Rolex.

You do not have a Rolex. You do not have a Rolex!

In case you didn't understand, please note:

You do not have a Rolex.

First you emailed me this photograph telling me this was your watch (which was a lie). Then you posted it here telling everyone it was your watch (which was another lie). Now you admit stealing the photo off ebay.

Your watch looks nothing and from your description sounds nothing like a Rolex O.K.

So get over it please.

Maybe Clinton was printed on the dial, maybe it was an old comapny where your father in law worked? Maybe it's a custom dial. Who knows.

Surely you didn't mean to falsely represent that the photo was of your actual watch, but that's what you said it was.

If you are going to post a photo of your watch do it with the hands set to 9:18 and the date reading Sunday 25th.

You have 24 hours from now to do this, or you will be subject to immediate and enduring expulsion.

I realize that many (perhaps with good reason) doubt the sincerity of the original poster, HOWEVER, at this point, who knows what she has or what is going on. We lose nothing by giving the benefit of the doubt and being nice, no matter the OPs motivations and ultimate outcome.

Let me just say, I know a little more.

And motivations are important when people sell things here to others that result in someone loosing a significant sum of money. Unless you have lost $000 you might not readily appreciate that.
