The search showed a 75k sell price. This one was about 20k more. Not sure if that means anything

Charity auction. Has nothing to do with the actual street price of the watch.

Shall I photoshop an image of a Hulk that sold for $150k so you can make a new thread about it?

It was for charity. It doesn’t representative market value of the watch. David is selling one NOS for $31k, which is more indicative yet a very high example.

Where does it say that it was for charity? I am not saying it is fair value and think it was due to ego clash.

Thought it was understood that this Hulk was not part of the charity.

It’s called price or market manipulation. Fake ads are posted in numerous locations seemingly from multiple sellers. The desired result is to hype the target item and cause a psychological belief of scarcity. Boiler room strategies used in the penny stock and pink sheet OTC markets all the time.

It seems to be working if we consider this thread a perpetuation of the narrative.

Only two LOTs of the auction were for charity - this one was not. It was LOT 118 you can look it up on the Phillips website.

It was a standard, unworn Hulk - nothing special at all about it.

Ummm no. This is not the market price of a LV.

If it was I'd offload the 2 I have on me right now. Who wants them? $75K Cash each? HAHAHA jk. :)

Correct - only two watches out of hundreds were sold for charity - this one was not.

The one at auction was clearly bought by somebody with either a massive ego which he felt like flexing, or somebody looking to process some questionable money.

Nobody in their right mind pays these amounts for something which can be bought at significantly less without an ulterior motive.
