So long Lemans Daytona ....

So sad this watch got discontinued. I never had the chance to even see it in person. Don't think I will ever be able to own one. One of the best if not the best rolex release in the history.

Seems like a lot of trouble they went to for a one year run. On the other hand, it was supposed to be a LeMans Anniversary watch and it was. Never seen one either, I’ll be looking at MotoGP this weekend.

My AD never received one and I've yet to see this piece in person. Shame it's been discontinued

There are some images circulating of an off catalogue yellow gold Lehman. Jenni Elle discusses it at the 2:30 mark of this video

It had to go. It was a true anniversary watch. None of this nonsense where they change a color and run it for a decade and people think it's an anniversary piece.

Yep, it’s a real unicorn. Sad to see it go.

I’m curious to know how many were ever made.

I suspect this is a precursor to incorporating key design elements into the next SS Daytona iteration in a few years…

I'm assuming the YG version will only be available for 10 months or so too??

It's too bad, it's a nice looking watch

It's sad to see this reference canned. It felt like a stab in the heart.

If the yellow gold is legit and off catalog, is it possible they moved the white gold to off catalog as well? Based on availability and price point, it might've well had already been considered an off catalog piece.

Likely just wishful and does not matter to me as I would never be able to rationalize owning one by a longshot.

I'm going against the flow on this one as I had the chance to hold one and it was underwhelming... the sub-dials was classic and the display back was welcome, but that was about it.

Wouldn’t be beyond them to have made exactly 100.

Ben from Hodinkee had said in his video he heard 2400 worldwide. I bet it was way less than that. My AD had thought it would be around 100. Considering you have probably only seen under 10 in the wild on social media, celebrities etc. I would guess around 100 seems more accurate.

Would love to know the reasoning besides some sort of anniversary

That being said, if they made a Le Mans in either yellow rose gold, all brushed bracelet I would be in heaven.

I dunno. Im not sold on a yg le man. It'd be perfect and better if it was in platinum or even SS. IMO Rolex should've made the Le mans in platinum to begin with

This Year new releases has been a massive disappointment all around.
