Oq

So I have been toying around with the idea of "just one more" Rolex. Like I have never said that before.

I have a 17014 SS and white gold DJ OQ. I would be interested in a 17000 SS/SS if the right watch came up at the right price. I am in no hurry so it would just be a matter of it really being meant to be, right timing and all.

But one thing that does not settle well with me is it seams that when the OQ needs service, the price is quite a bit more than a regular mechanical watch.

I have not had mine seviced yet as it is a P SN, but from reading other posts, it just seems like the OH price is high.

Can anyone confirm or deny this? I think an OH for a perpetual would be around $400 to $500 USD that is not including things like new crystal, face or hands, but just tube, crown, etc.

The OQ OH seems to run more $500+ $600+?

Any OQ owners out there than can share their experiences?

Well Mark never owned a Rolex Oyster Quartz, but had a Tudor Oyster Quartz
for a short time. The Service for a Oyster Quartz DD is around £195, DJ £180
these are UK prices. And the Oyster Quartz movement to replace is more
expencive that the mechanical movement.Have a look in the Rolex links
& Resources I have put a UK watchemakers link on left of page scroll down
to Rolex click, you will see list of service charges Rolex and his. This watchmaker has done quite a bit of work for me and I can highly recommend him and uses genuine Rolex parts.
