Very very interesting and case size remains 40mm

What is also interesting is a return to the 116520 look with the WG black face

My question is whether or not it’s really 40mm this time.

You know, I thought that at first, but after staring at it awhile … I’m not so sure

Does the bottom right lug still look off?

Proportions look identical to the 509 on my wrist Brian. Perfectly symmetrical now.

What's off is that some renders show curved sides, others flatter.

My take is that the flatter side renders are just less detailed. The description talks about "Graceful lines of light are elegantly reflected from the sides of its redesigned middle case"

Thats not something you'd say about a flat sided (Sub or GMT) style case.

Thanks Scott

The more I stare at it, the more I think the lower right lug still looks elongated.

Could be just that I need to take a break

As I first posted, I thought they looked symmetrical.

With a PM model case and vintage inspired bezel. I love it. I love the older even more. I'm curious what the market will do in terms of the prices for the discontinued 116500LN models.

How so? There were no Zenith-movement Daytonas with ceramic bezels. Zenith Daytonas had balanced, symmetrical sub-dials unlike all modern Daytonas with the in-house movements. Zenith Daytonas had more elegant hands and hour makers. The differences are endless.

The new line is inferior to the outgoing model and surprisingly not 41mm. That way the old model will likely skyrocket on the secondary market. Guess who’s now in the secondary market??

I agree, the newer one is nicer. Very 16520 Zenith looking w the thinner sub dials & markers & hands. Home run.

Exactly right!! I thought for sure they would have brought out an actual SS Panda so people who keep calling the old one a Panda would be like what now?!
