It’s an original Tudor 7017/0 Dial that somewhere along its journey lost its blue color to expose the brass plate in an interesting fashion whilst retaining perfectly the delicate white printing. Fun piece indeed.

The watch my wife bought me for my 50th birthday...



And the watch that I exchanged it for the next day...this one sang to me and the Rose Gold was a little more subtle (if you can say that about a DD ;-)

There is a Rhodium dial just called “vertical lines,” and similar dials in the 80s-90s were called “Tapestry.” Is there a difference between sundust stripe motif and vertical lines?

I used to own a 18238 with a silver tapestry dial. Beautiful watch but hard to tell the time due to not enough contrast for me. I like the vertical line theme though.
