Panerai oor

Hi you, Panerai experts.

I have been doing my research on some pieces and came across a 217 marked OOR "Out of Range" production pieces (11 to be exact).

Care to illustrate me on what this is? Is this common for Panerai? Does PANERAI do this with all their limited edition pieces and is it worth the extra money?

God bless and thanks in advance

Don't pay a premium for ORR watches. They are simply left over or out of range of initial number or the 1950 made in case of the 127 or 1000 in case of 217.

I agree. OOR means money grab or forget the fact that I said it was a LE. One of the things that I don't agree with about Panerai. If the price is right, do it, but no premium.

Waters down the prices of the LE models and waters down the desirability and confidence in the brand.

If you like the watch go for it but dont over pay as they tend to not hold value very well.

Actually it has had no effect on the prices of the LE's (217 or 127) as only a handful were made to use up cases, dials etc. I simply would not bother paying a premium for it as not worth it IMHO.

And Jennifer sorry but the 372 is nice even though I don't like the ecru/faux lume much but it doesn't compare to 217 or 127 IMHO thus the huge price difference and collector demand.

Kinda fun to own, but don't pay extra (as has been said already).

I don't know if it's the same thing but I bought a Pam 82, 300 LE, but "shadow case watch", there's also supposed to be around 12 outside of the 300LE, got it for 2K less than BNIN full set 82, but came without box or papers, sold it for the same price 2 years later, never really wore it, if the price is right ok but don't pay premium, not worth it IMO

I see your point but if I could own a 360 OOR for a msrp right now I would pick one up, wouldn't mean much to me that it was not part of the original LE allotment, unless my intent was to put it in the safe and keep it NiB for future speculation.

Rather have the regular numbered edition. Because you know it is not just pieced together with extras .

Extra OEM parts are OEM parts just like the original LE, Why would that be a problem?
