Came in today from routine service. Missed this piece. To me this watch never looks old. Just more iconic. I’ve had Rolex come and go but my 1861 Moonwatch will always remain in my collection. Anybody else feel this way?

It’s actually remarkable how similar the current moonwatch is to all generations before it back to the 105.012. Omega, more than any other watch brand IMO, understands and honors their heritage (current moonwatch, 321 reissue, anniversary editions), while simultaneously pushing the boundaries on what is possible (eg Speedmaster chrono chime minute repeater).

Nice! Don’t have any “real” Speedies right now (had many before, do have Sun and Mercury MoonWatches ) but the Moonwatch is truly a great watch

I move Speedmaster's into and out of my collection regularly. I like the watches but they are so easy to obtain and when it comes to doing some trading, they are always wanted. Glad you got your watch back. Looks great.

Looks great! Love the Speedy on a black alligator. Mine originally came on the black OEM alligator with deployant. I serviced it at my independent watchmaker who has been to all the Omega and Rolex schools. Very happy with the work.

For me it's the same. There are not many watches that have this special charisma.

Yes I feel the same. I haven't had my moon watch 3861 very long. But there's something special about it. I feel it in my bones.
