Last I heard (two years ago?), a new replacement from RSC was $14,000.

OTOH, refurbishing an original 18238 bracelet would be about $1500-$2000.

Retail price for a DD 18XXX president bracelet might be around USD 18k now (tax incl.) - converted from CHF. Tridor obviously more.

A full gold jubilee for a DJ 16XXX seems to be slightly more affordable at USD 14,5k (tax incl.). Always converted from CHF.

The exact amount may differ due to different sales tax/VAT regulations.

I don't have access to the parts site on the weekends, but I can look up the current price for that bracelet tomorrow. It should be the same from all ADs & RSCs in the US.

There are two bracelet options for model 18238.
20-7286-20-2 is $13,600.00 USD (president with clasp cover)
20-8385-8-20-4 is $16,800.00 USD (president with hidden clasp)

There should also be a trade-in value for your current bracelet. Rolex states that we give $30 per gram of precious metals.

Thanks a lot for the exact info. With sales tax added I'm not too far away with my exchange rate calculation.

Well, since 18238 bracelets are 18k 75% of the total weight should be gold. The separation happens by melting in a metal refinery.

Here in Switzerland this is an important business. Argor Heraeus, a refinery in southern Switzerland, alone works with 800 tons of gold every year.

Rolex afaik works with its own refinery to produce the precious metals for the watch production and commercialises the metal combinations (not alloys) in a watch with marketing names like Everose (RG), Rolesor (Oystersteel and YG) or Rolesium (Oystersteel and Platinum).
