I got my silver dial Overseas from the boutique a month ago and it hasn't left my wrist. Plan to daily it as long as I remain interested, which is hopefully many years. It's already picking up scratches but I don't mind.

I got it because it is stealth and doesn't attract any unwanted attention at a glance, but is obviously special once you take a closer look. It's sacrilegious to say but it kind of makes my Submariner pointless from an accessory perspective.

I'd still hang onto a Rolex steel sport. They go well together. Sporty and flashy vs elegant and more than meets the eye. I've enjoyed bouncing between them.

The silver is an underrated dial. I think it’s beautiful.

Thanks! It was my one and only choice for the Overseas.

I wanted something totally inconspicuous yet timeless so this was it for me. I feel like I can wear this to most places without undue notice. So far, however, the watch is getting more attention from women than men, which I never get with my other nice watches, so that's interesting.

I'm not crazy about the move several brands seem to be making away from formal watch boxes either. I think I'm in the minority, but I actually display my watches in their boxes in my home office so I actually get a lot of use out of the box.

I was offered the gold/white dial dual time by the online boutique after I asked for a SS piece a year ago…I turned it down. Has availability gotten better for ss models?

Slightly. I’ve been offered a couple of pieces from a boutique in the last two months, but the most sought-after watches are still tough to get, especially anything with a blue dial.

No affiliation and not an endorsement. I have been exploring additional strap options for my dual time and noticed Delugs has Greatly increased their selection of 3rd generation compatible straps for the Overseas with customization options. https://delugs.com/products/custom-w...39516226682993

I love the VC Overseas line! I have a 4500v and a 5500v chrono. Looking to complete the trio with a black dial dual time with a red rubber strap!

Are the Overseas inventories at boutiques nowadays getting better (particularly in Asia)? I asked for the dual time in black or blue dial early last year but haven't heard anything back yet. I'm hoping with the prices at greys back to normal it won't be anywhere close to the original quoted 8 years wait time

I'm a little bummed they changed out the alligator strap to a calf strap, but I my favourites were the rubber and bracelet so I guess it's not a huge deal.

Such a pretty case back and view on the VC Overseas. Every time I change straps I stare at it for awhile.

There is hope. I got the call for the black dual time last week after requesting it early Jan 2022. I’m not sure if it’s true or not but I’ve heard the supply of black dual time is scarcer than the blue version but demand is lower than the blue.

That's promising to hear, hope you are enjoying it! Did you have any history with the boutique?

I have history with VC, only one piece. However, my interaction doesn't lead me to believe the boutique I frequent play games. Extremely upfront, took my interest and subsequent visits giving me updates/status. To be honest, really good experience instead of hearing the same old demand outpacing supply the moment you walk in the store without the SA even remotely being interested in finding out your interest.

I also think that because it was a silver dial, which is probably the least popular dial, the waitlist was not as long. It didn't matter because I wanted the silver dial only and not the other dials.

Anyway, I'm happy I was able to get mine.

Thanks for sharing. I do text my SA and drop in from time to time but I've never been able to get a straight answer or estimate on timing. Hoping something happens this year
