Damn that looks good, although kind of redundant in colors vs the Sub LB

I love it. For me, the DSSD is a modern sized watch to start. It looks great in gold. As has been mentioned countless times, the depth rating is functionally irrelevant. It looks like the compression ring is also blue! Not for everyone, but the Sea Dweller has never been about appealing to everyone. If I were targeting a full gold reference, this would be it.

It looks like a two-tone Deepsea to me given that the caseback and HEV are not made of YG ...

Love it! I mentioned in another thread, I currently own the black dial DSSD. If I could afford it, I'd buy the JC and this new one, just to have all three!

I'd rock that all day.

I had a black dial DSSD I daily’d for three years when they first came out. I’m not a PM kind of guy but have to admit I think this is attractive. Expect to see some celebrities and athletes wearing them.

That's the exact feeling I got. It looks disproportional. In all gold screams "used car salesman" & reeks of menthol cigarettes. Not a fan of this at all.

Sorry but it looks terrible to me. Looks like a brash, tasteless mall watch. But each to their own.

In my opinion, Rolex is pushing to see how easy is
to separate hard working people from their money!

No new professional watch,
Looks they are stalling until something new finish testing…

If this were a regular Sea Dweller, no date window, it would be a winner for me!

Nope. I briefly had a JC DSSD and that thing was gorgeous but a behemoth. I can only imagine the weight of this bad boy.

I can't wait for the weight comparisons on this one.

Well... 24K gold is about 2.5 times as dense as steel. Not sure about 18K as the alloys are less but the gold version will weigh at least twice what the DSSD weighs. So at least 450 grams or about a pound. That's a heavy watch.

This pretty good article says 322g, which now makes it the heaviest watch Rolex produces (platinum Daytona before, 280-285g). I don't hate it as much as the author of this article, but man, was this release necessary?
