Should have these by the end of the month.

They've been on order for about a month and a half now.

I also recently got a pair of Suede and Calf Carmina's from skoaktiebolaget.

http://www.skoaktiebolaget.se/news/c...-922-spectator

Which may not fit everybody's idea of what a Spectator is.

I have yet to wear either pair, as the weather really has not been that cooperative.

I also picked up a pair of BB AE Linen and Calf Seconds for a real good price, but I don't like these nearly as much as the other two.

If I were to choose between the two you mentioned, I would go with walnut and white.
Your collection is growing by leaps and bound The Suede spectator does seem very different, I do like the white better than suede.

I am still deciding if I should get a pair of the walnut white or not

My photo may not be as good as the vendors.

But then again you can't wear a photo and now that I have them I can wear them.

I think I like those better than the one Tom posted on his site.

They really have a much more noticeable two tone effect.

Enjoy.

It really does depend on the lighting.

Thanks for the tip! I want to have a pair of boots MTO and I paid them a visit yesterday and I believe I could get what I want from either Carmina or Edward Green. I needed a local shop to see what last would fit me.

Now I just need to decide what I really want...

wow ,,,, you guys must have very pointy toes ,,, most of those shoes look like 50s winkle pickers ,, trickers are the only ones that look like you could get close enough to the bar to get served in.
some great looking leather though.

Giving Alfred Sargent a try next. My understanding is as a result of a recent improvement (2009 or 2010) in all aspects from leather quality, designs, and manufacturing their shoes are considered really top notch. I've read that a number of people consider AS Exclusive (Bench Grade) on par with Crockett and Jones's Hand Grade.

I chose a chukka (Radwell) from Pediwear and as a bonus they come with free lasted shoe trees. The cost is also significantly less than what you could buy it for in the US. That is if you could even find it here in the US. Unfortunately they don't have my size in stock, but hopefully they will be able to get it from the factory in short order.

Here is a description of the leather being used:

New, Alfred Sargent EXCLUSIVE Collection Chukka boot with a Chisel toe in Sienna Hatchgrain Calf Leather.

The leather is Horween's version of the famous Russian Reindeer Calf that was on board the stricken Danish ship Catherina von Flensburg that sank in 1786 off the coast of Cornwall.

Two hundred years after sinking the wreck was found along with the cargo of hides that were largely undamaged and these hides ended up being crafted into various luxurious goods from shoes to furniture.

Icon17 There are shoes...

... and then there's John Lobb

Two months in the making and finally picked them up today.

Couldn't be happier and neither could AMEX

Owners of bespoke John Lobb's will understand and very much appreciate why a pair of bloody shoes can make you happy!

Here they are...

I should be getting my AS chukkas pretty soon, and I'm waiting for my first pair of MTO Vass shoes to arrive yet.

Thank you sir.

My watches are Swiss, but most of my nicer shoes are English.

I like real nice shoes and boots. Although I have some from Allen Edmonds and Alden, I actually rather prefer the shoes from the English shoemakers. Their shoes tend to give me the design options I like, with better quality leathers, better construction, and sleeker lasts. If you hadn't noticed I also have shoes from Saint Crispins, John Lobb, Edward Green, Gaziano and Girling, Alfred Sargent, and Crockett and Jones.

I heard about Alfred Sargent initially from the website below, but other websites reported pretty much the same thing. It appears as of 2009 or 2010 when they re-vamped their product, and the way the product is manufactured that their exclusive line (benchgrade) meets or exceeds Crockett and Jones' Hangrade line in regards to the leather being used, equal or better construction, a fidlleback waist, and they can be found for the same price.

This boot and their MTO Miller cordovan boot are the shoes I like most within the AS product line. Since getting any AS MTO at this point in time is almost impossible I decided to go ahead and get the Radwell. It's a relatively new boot that just came out about a month ago.

I purchased these from Pediwear (UK) since they are currently offering free lasted shoe trees. Besides one can only get AS in the states from a very few venders and they will charge you a much higher price.

As it was I paid about what I would have paid for an Alden chukka if not less and I got a much better boot in my opinion with free lasted shoe trees.

Very nice AS boots you have there. AS products improved significantly following their association with Tony Gaziano and Dean Girling (I think it was some form of consultancy arrangement).
