Tick Marks

One for the experts...Why are these two dials different? If you look where "SWISS MADE" is written, the second marks on one are all shortened except for two, but on the other dial, there are three regular length marks. Any ideas?

Rolex used to use two companies to fabricate their dials so there have been minor differences over the years. As well, over the years they change the fonts and point sizes or positioning of text. It's not a big deal, nor is anyone more collectable unless of course it's a red sub or SD.

If they were from the same series letter, it could go down to one from each of the manufacturers. However, Rolex has since brought everything in-house, so such differences shouldn't happen.
