***Welcome***

This is a pen and related material forum.

Pens and watches do go to a large degree hand in hand.

This forum is on a trial run to see if is worthy of being sustained.

It is hoped that it will be successful and popular but if not then the threads will be consumed by a more popular forum.

Enjoy

Well, Steve, you (we) may have a winner on our hands. This writing instrument sub-Forum seems very popular so far.

I don't have the statistics, but it does look pretty popular here.

Still it is early days. So lets hope this isn't just a honeymoon period.

I have a good feeling this is going to continue and from the looks of it there a few folks already dipping their toes into the fountain pen water after browsing the forum. I know I am enjoying it a great deal!

Agreed.

Collecting and owning excellent timepieces is a natural path to owning fine WI's. People that love their watches have an inherent appreciation for things that are both beautiful, functional, and make a statement about the person wearing. It's the same with pens. As we hang around in the forum I believe we will see more and more members expressing a serious interest and eventually acquiring the addiction for pens as they do for Rolexes.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I enjoy seeing the expression on peoples faces in a meeting when I bring out my MB 149 and take notes with it. There is this kind of approving quizzical look and they tend to smile when they see how it writes. So Richard is known as "that guy with the old pen" or "the dude that takes notes on paper with the funny pen instead of bringing his laptop and typing them. That's OK by me.

I can say one thing, in all the years I have done this, I have never seen anyone else every take out a FP of any kind to take notes in a meeting. So, not only do we appreciate fine timepieces and writing instruments, we are also rare!
