Probably eventually. Rolex always seems to kick off new models at Basel with the YG version, remember the new GMT.

I would LOVE to have the SS version, with a dial similar to the RG/black.

Aesthetic considerations aside (I happen to not like any of the Daytona's much), if Rolex can convince the public to pay just as much (if not more) for a ceramic bezel as they were already prepared to pay for a GOLD one...well then they really are geniuses! Hats off!

40mm case size question

The information above indicates the case size is 40mm.
Is the case is the same size as the current 116520 Daytona?
There was much speculation on TRF and elsewhere that the case size would be enlarged.

The Everose gold looks awesome with the black ceramic bezel and black accents. It does however have that 'Hublot Big Bang' look to it. I can't wait until they have a stainless version with the Cerachrom bezel. Maybe they'll also bring back some of the retro designs like they did with new Explorer II. I can dream!

The specs say 40mm, but it is clear that the lugs have been redesigned and appear to be the proportions of the new Block cases, but with sculpted horns.. It may appear larger in person than the earlier 16520's..

Looks like they've retained the original case.

INHO 40mm is just perfect for this watch. I for one was hoping that ROLEX didn't try to maxi case this model............yet.

Those are new hands yeah?? They look tapered. Also, is it the light making the flat part of the hand in the middle look black or are these skeletonized? In other words, lume suspended in the middle of the two metal outer pieces?

Love it BTW - may have to get in line for the SS release in 2 years!

Beautiful except... those 2x oversize hour markers look like something a hillbilly added with vinyl lettering.

They always detract, but making them 'fill the dial' is really over the top.

Soooo crowded. Would look great with that simple deletion.

Wow, that is stunning. I don't usually picture a daytona on leather, but its actually nicer on leather. I love the Oyster bracelet on the sub but I don't really like the polished midlinks.

Thanks Larry,

fantastic pics!

This ceramic bezel has something....the first NEW Daytona which I probably would REALLY like to have, especially in SS with a panda dial!

Regards
