I just wish the year indicator was placed under the JLC logo instead of the left.

Yup the year indicator kind of kills it unfortunately. But I do feel I have to try it on before I remove it from my (long) list.

Imagine one of the year indicators being a month indicator instead, and the month dial being a power reserve. : Or something like that.

The year indicator in that location also seems typical of another Richemont brand - IWC.

Their Da Vinci Perpetual's - both the earlier incarnation and the more recent rectangular version - show the year indicator in the lower left quadrant of the watch.

I am wondering with such a complication, whether there is an internal architecture issue that leaves not a lot of space elsewhere for the year indicator to "surface" but in that region of the dial ...?

nice reference especially because it comes with central second hand, not many perpetuals do, i agree about year and setting time indicators they should be gone
