New releases from Zenith ... and these are great !

Last year the Type 20 montre d'aéronef was a HUGE succes.
A very special movement ( vintage 5011K) in a great looking case

Collectors bought them asap but only 250 were available.
So even before Basel they were all sold out

This year Zenith will make them in a more wearable size ... 48mm
Great size for a Pilot watch
The most simple is the GMT ... what a great watch

The Special is nice but I wish they'd left the PR off. With only 48hrs, what's the point?

I think the PR works given it's manual.

Interesting, and certainly more manageable watches, however I wonder what movements they are housing? El Primero's or Elites?

Very nice indeed, the third one from the left is definitely my favorite!

Thank you for sharing!

Great looking watches. However, even at a reduced size of 48mm, I would say its a limited market.

a bit limited, I agree

But on the other hand,

AP made theit best selling watches even bigger than they used to be. The new Offshore is also huge

Panerai seems to sell more 47 than 44 today

Breitling has a few very big ones in their Breitling series

So all together that market is pretty big ;-)

does it make a difference if the watch has 48 or 120 hrs power reserve ?

The original 5011K movement always had this PR indicator so they put it on the watch ;-)

I agree it is not a must because the smaller GMT does look great without the Pr indicator

chrono annual calendar and chrono tourbillon definitely an EP
The GMT ... could be the modified EP like the one in the Espada, could also be an Elite

I asked to question to somebody who works for Zenith, when I have an answer I will post it

I would be interested in adding the GMT version to my collection. I think it has the cleanest dial of the three 48mm ones.
