Icon2 Considering a TT Daytona 126503: Seeking Advice

I currently have a Sub 41 LV and a Yacht-Master 40 in steel with a blue dial in my collection. A few days ago, I visited my local Rolex boutique, where I have a good relationship with the staff, and I was offered a Two-Tone Daytona 126503 with a black dial.

I've never owned a TT watch before, so it's something I need to consider carefully. However, it looked great on my wrist and felt similar to my YM. I'm thinking about selling the YM to partially fund the Daytona, but I haven't made a final decision yet.

I would really appreciate your opinions on this Daytona as a part of my collection, its aesthetic appeal and its value retention.

Thanks!

This is easy. If you like it, want it, and it's a reasonable purchase, buy it.

Although not a huge fan of the modern day Daytona, much prefer the TT mainly because of the vast dial options compared to the SS.

I’d think long and hard about selling one watch to fund another

I'm not much of a fan of TT watches. TT watches seem like a watch that cannot make up its mind. Is it a SS watch or a PM watch. But that's just my two cents, i.e. worthless opinion.

If you like it buy it.

I think it would be a great add and diversification to your collection. I personally like the TT, especially w/ black dial.

I’d rather own the TT Daytona than the YM. That’s me though.

great watch but if you care about value retention stay away. two tones definitely don't fair well there historically

I like the two tone Daytona even if it doesn't get as much love as stainless or full precious metal. I am partial to the champagne or white dial though.
