A pal asked me other day what’s the rarest Rolex/Tudor piece you have. I was about to trot out an answer of Sigma Big Red, but then I remembered that this 9101/0 Integrale with a Peacock Green dial is in fact the rarest - I’ve only ever seen one other in 46 years of collecting.

Anyone else got something that they’ve hardly ever/never seen another of….unsung lower value pieces especially welcome

Very interesting, I wasn't even aware that this watch exists! Just based on its looks I would consider that it is some kind of prototype.

Based on the s/n when it was made and how long it was in production?

The dial is of Tudor Jumbo, not sure about the hands. The case and bracelet are completely different.

Tudor launched the Integrale 9101/9111/9121/9130 and 9140 50 yrs ago, in 1974.

This was a time when Gerald Genta (A.P. Royal Oak) and other manufacturers eg Omega and Patek Phillipe Nautilus (also GG design), were doing a lot of integrated bracelet pieces. Tudor relaunched a ‘Royale’ integrated model in 2022 too btw.

Of these models the 9101, 9111, 9121 used the same 9411/0 snowflake submariner ETA mvt at the time, and the 9130/9140 used a ETA quartz mvt. The quartz are especially rare as they cost nearly twice the mechanical auto price and close to a the Rolex 1601/1603 DateJust price!

The watches were discontinued in 1980.

Here are two adverts used in many lifestyle mags in mid-late 70’s. Auto above, quartz below.

As with the datejust silver was favoured by the brand for advertising and most (about 55-60%) found are thus silver dialled.

Thank you very much for your detailed and very comprehensive answer. I was not aware of this model and all these interesting facts! Yes, I see now the Geralt Genta influence in the design and it makes sense to see some of the DNA being carried over in part of the Tudor modern line.

This information begs to be included in a Tudor comprehensive design and history book. Certainly Tudor produced so many great watches that deserve to be brought into the light.

I have a Orfina Porsche Design, the watch was produced from 1972 - 1978, designed by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche (Butzi) who designed the iconic Porsche 911. My watch is the version with Lemania 5100 movement, Orfina started using it in 1974 as the production of ETA Valjoux 7750 ceased at that time. The first iteration of the watch was with ETA. These old watches still offer good value and are quite rare.

I think this may not be very exciting on a Rolex forum, but very few of these chronometer-grade 30L movements were made. Just a special batch for competitions, IIRC.

Huguenin Frères case that was built out (They were the original case maker of the Omega Speedmaster) … Some say these are prototypes, but I’ve always loved the fact I’ve never seen another one.

Forgot this made for one year only ( in 1999/00 ) Tudor 75190 silver dial/bezel SUBMARINER- Salmon dial, also w.g.s, was made too in 99/00 btw !

Even rarer than the Peacock green I opened this thread with, is this 1974 9101/0 Burgundy/Silver ‘bullseye’ I just got in.

Only ever seen a single other blue/silver and green/silver bullseye, but never a burgundy/silver.... so this is a bona fide integrale unicorn
