APRP: Training Ground for the Exceptional

Great article on the history of APRP and the many talented watch
makers that have worked there. A watch (AP or maybe an RM) with a movement from APRP is my true Grail.

Thanks for sharing a cool article.

Whilst I knew some of the APRP alumni, I didn't know the extent of the talent that was generated there...

This article really made me think about the whole "in house" movement marketing.

Because AP ownes 78% of APRP is that enough to make the movements "in house" for AP. Or because RM contracts with APRP does that make the watch any less desirable because the movement isn't "in house"? I don't think so.

I guess after all my years of collecting I'm appreciating brand history and movement complexity/quality more than everything being in house.

Paul...I really envy your trip to APRP. My visit was only to the museum and manufacture. If I had went to APRP I probably would have sold most of my collection to buy a watch with one of their movements.
