Fantastic Experience with DavidSW (and David) - A Gray Market Success Story!

Hello Rolex Forum members,

I wanted to share my recent experience with DavidSW, specifically with a gentleman named David, as it was truly exceptional. Like many of you, I had a watch that wasn't getting enough wrist time and decided to explore the gray market for a sale. I'm typically an eBay or Chrono24 seller, but I wanted to see what dealing with a reputable gray market dealer would be like.

After asking for recommendations on this forum, I received several names, including DavidSW. I also reached out to Luxury Bazaar, as I've seen them featured on YouTube. I was initially a bit nervous, as I'm located in California and DavidSW is in Florida, and I'd never dealt with a gray market dealer before. I was also aware that the current market might make negotiations challenging.

I contacted DavidSW through their website, submitted photos of my watch, and received what I considered a fair initial offer. After some friendly back-and-forth negotiation, we agreed on a price that I was very happy with. David sent me a prepaid shipping label, and within 30 minutes of receiving the watch, he wired the funds to my account. The entire process was seamless and efficient.

In contrast, one of the other dealers I contacted took two days to respond and didn't seem particularly interested. Luxury Bazaar, on the other hand, offered a ridiculously lowball price.

Impressed by the smooth transaction, I decided to explore trading a couple of my other watches for a piece David had listed on his website. He readily accepted my proposal, again providing a prepaid shipping label. As soon as he received my watches, he shipped mine, and it arrived in perfect condition, even better than I expected.

When I emailed David to thank him, I mentioned that the strap was a bit short. Without hesitation, he told me to order a new strap from Patek and that he would cover the cost. To all dealers out there, this is how you treat a customer!

David has been an absolute gentleman throughout both transactions. I've been involved in negotiations for 40 years, and I firmly believe that the best deals are those where both parties are satisfied. I'm sure some will suggest I must have sold my watches for a pittance for him to cover a $750 strap cost, but I highly doubt that's the case.

DavidSW and David made both of these transactions flawless. I have no doubt that I will be a lifelong customer. I wanted to share this review to express my sincere appreciation and highly recommend them to anyone considering buying or selling watches in the gray market.

Thanks
