Recently bought vintage: Real or Fake?

Hey, I just bought this 6694 and I’m wondering if it’s legit! Bought it from a trusted website but knew from the start that some info about it were off, like the manufacture date for example. What do you guys think? Does the movement look legit?

P.S.: This is my first post ever, be nice =]

Post a picture of the dial. As Milgauss88 said already, the movement looks fine.

While the 6694 is seldomly faked, the dial is often repainted / redialed, etc given the age of the model.

Congratulations. The 6694 was my first Rolex.

Not the best quality picture, but I couldn’t find a proper wrist shot.

As others have mentioned, movement fine - it is the later 1225 Caliber. Let’s see some pictures of the dial & hands now please.

Thanks for the replies guys! Will post some pictures as soon as I get home!

By comparing the movement with images I saw online I had a strong feeling it was autentic, but it’s good getting confirmation! Thanks!

As others have said…movement looks good.
Have to ask though, why buy first, especially if you had hesitation of your own about a couple things, then ask questions? Vintage buying is a minefield….do your homework first is my suggestion.
More pics would help.

Well, I ended up buying it because the green flags outnumbered the red ones. I thought the watch was beautiful, I met the dealer on a trusted website, talked for a long time with him privately and ended up buying directly from his store, which I came to learn it is a reputable one (I know on my first post I said I'd bought it from the website, but that was just me cutting the story short). At the end of the day I bought the guy more than I bought the watch.

Do you usually buy antique watches for collection or investment?
