Thickest crystal…1680?
Is the 1680 top hat crystal the tallest/thickest plastic crystal that Rolex used?
Does it sit taller than the domed 5513 crystal? |

You appear to get increased date magnification due to the extra height of the crystal

True- I am not a cyclops fan and have replaced the crystal on several references (1807, 1601) with domed crystals because the magnification on the original crystal was not that impressive. I recently acquired a 1680 and was going to do the same until I realized that the date fully fills the magnifier window on the tophat crystal, and adds to the appeal of the 1680.
