Want a Time machine too

Mannnnnn, knowing the future sure would have shaped my collection differently...

But having said that, I'm of relatively modest means and watch ownership had to take turns and be dynamic. I couldn't buy many pieces, I just tried them all in turn... (not a flipper, just a changer).

Oh the good old days , you could walk into your local AD & take your pick of any model you wanted . And expect a fair discount to boot

I remember walking into my AD in 2003 to buy a datejust. My SA tried hard to get me to buy a 16610LV flat 4 discounted for somewhere around 4K and I passed. Had I known I would have bought five.

I remember being offered a blue and a white Nautilus for around £16000 each about ten year ago

I just couldn't afford one, let alone both

That wasn't too long ago. Remember 25 years ago.... 12k for a Patek 5110rg... Daytona SS was like 4k...
