I liked the 16700 more than I thought it would, but no, the 126710BLRO is a substantial upgrade.

As far as aesthetics go, the ceramic bezel is wider and the lume lasts longer. I'm just a really big fan.

Ive got both and imo the 16710 is the nicer watch....unquestionably the quality of the 126710 is next level but Cold and no where near the charm

I love both of them but I prefer 16710 because “New is new” for me.

Prefer slimmer cases because my wrist isn't that big.
So my vote goes to 16710.

If you have just a couple of watches, or you want the blro to be your everyday driver, then for sure the 6 digit. If you want a cool older watch, the answer, of course is the 1675.

I would choose the 5 digit due to the versatility w/ bezels and bracelet options.

I feel like the 5 digit Pepsi is way cooler and has more charm (I feel the same about all 5 digit Rolex Sport models). That being said, I would never own a 5 digit. When wearing them they feel (to me) cheaper and dated. The modern Rolex lineup feels much more solid and the new solid bracelet feels much more comfortable. I feel the same about vintage cars. A Corvette Stingray or A Ferrari 275 look amazing and are drool worthy but in the end they feel like old cars when you drive them. I guess I am jealous of the guys and gals that can own and wear a 5 digit reference. Way classier then the new ones but not for me.

I voted 16710 as I have had one for 4 years and it is a classic stunner but I want a 126710 as well but wont pay a premium so never going to get one I guess

16710 hands down. Not even a moment of hesitation.

Both watches are awesome but I am a huge fan of the Rolex 16710, I would definitely go with that.

I have one of each, and I chose the 126710,

1) I have bigger wrists so the maxi case fits me better
2) the dial is more legible, the 16710 dial seems more dated
3) better lume
4) better adjustability of the bracelet (not necessarily more comfortable though)

But I got into Rolex when Ceramic dials already existed and I suspect many of the people with a preference for 5 digit GMTs or thin lugged subs is because that style was what they were dreaming about when they first got bitten of the Rolex bug.

Ultimately both watches are great, and for me, both could easily be an only watch, or the only sports watch in a pair, but if I had to chose one and only it’d be a six digit strictly for the better legibility.

I prefer the 16710 because the new one looks oversized and silly with its maxi case proportion.
