5524 compared to Daytona: 5524 is way more legible. 5524 has way better lumen. Daytona is a watch that you can use a daily and feels right in any occasion, it has a more subtle coolness. Now the 5205 , when you put it on feels less weight which makes the slight smallest diameter (compared to Daytona) more noticeable. Not a fan of the 12/24 indicator, totally useless. People say , it helps you to set up the time, believe not justified. But that’s a minor , is just that I feel that is a complication waisted. The good thing about the AC’s is that they are useful, not like the chrono in the Daytona that is barely used. Patek created the 5205 for a more modern AC , meaning no subdials for day and month ( windows Instead ) no calatrava clasp , instead pin and buckle. I get it but I found my old 5146 more easy to read than the windows, plus the 5146 has power reserve way more useful than the 12/24 indicator. Even though I am saying the bad on these watches, I still loved them , hence why I bought them all. No bad decision here, just make sure the watch you pic is the watch that makes you or push you the most to put it on, that’s all that’s is to it really. I would wash my car wearing a Daytona.
I would never consider washing my car in a 5524. Maybe a 5167 ...
