Explorer 124273

I've just acquired what is probably the most comfortable Rolex I own. It wears much smaller than my Datejust Turn-o-Graph yet the proportions feel just right and the gold against the stainless steel is very subtle. I love it!

Congratulations.

It certainly does look good on your wrist.

Congratulations.

I’m looking at the SS model. I have a 36mm DateJust, and I love it.
I hear the new Explorer looks slightly bigger than the old Explorer.

Congratulations! Looks great! I have the new 36mm Exp too, and agree it wears smaller than my 36mm DJ.

Looks great, Gazoak. And yes, the gold there definitely isn't super-flashy and obtrusive.

I had the opportunity to try this reference on at an AD last month and felt that it wore great. Congrats on your purchase.

For those of us who like 36mm watches ; the Explorer is just so versatile in it's simplicity. I've put myself on the EOI!

Congratulations. This is my favourite Rolex release for some time. Reminds me of the two-tone 5701 Explorer-Date from the 1950s.

It’s a lovely watch! Looks great on your wrist. Picked mine up a couple weeks ago, I think it fits superbly and the gold is very subtle.
Just a little concerned about the easy scratching on the gold!

Congrats. I’ve had mine a couple months now and it wears very well. It’s quite durable. Very Minor scuff marks at the outside of the bracelet from normal wear but that’s it. It’s an Explorer after all.

Proportions are different. Same diameter but more tapered lugs and narrower bracelet. Some day wears bigger, some smaller.

I’d say this also depends on what generation/configuration. A 11 series white dial in steel? For sure. Current black dial TT? Probably about the same.

Congrats! It looks absolutely amazing. I've been lusting after this one since it came out. Well, actually a week after it came out. For the first week I didn't care for it....now I absolutely love it. I've flirted with this one too and am pretty certain I'll eventually get it. It's too cool - and apparently quite comfortable - not to have.

Very nice, I do like the straight forward design of this watch. The gold adds a nice contrast to the piece.

Nice, enjoy!
There is a lot going on with this watch that doesn't capture well in photos (nice though they are). The dial and in particular the numerals and I've not seen a photo that really captures the beauty of the ss/gold contrast in natural light.
