I have friends who give little gift bags with home made treats to stewardesses on planes. Why not? It's a way to show appreciation. I don't think a bottle of wine to a SA one deals with frequently is out of place.

My AD told me if I gave him a gift he’d put me on the do not call list. Class act.

What if your SA doesn't drink? Can someone provide me a suggestion for a gift other than a bottle of wine?

Is it inappropriate to buy Sales Rep a gift?

Ok so what about all the sad sacks who are giving SAs gifts in the hope they get “the call” and who are just going home laughing with all the wine, chocolates, spa vouchers, donuts, handbags and cards? That call will never come for lots of them. Get real. Go grey. Save yourself some dignity.

I would rather give a Starbucks gift card instead of a bottle of wine.

So I'm one of those sad sacks who bought some birthday flowers and lunch for the people who always treat me with respect, even if they don't always get me every watch I desire.

But they have managed to sell me 4 Rolex in the last 18 months. Saved me about 20K total compared to having to go grey.

It never hurts to be nice and show appreciation. I do the same thing for the lady who waits on me at the coffee shop every day, the service tech at the auto dealership, and the waitress and bartender at my favorite restaurant.

Little things matter, and don't cost a lot. It is just who some of us are....clearly not you!

I gifted my friend a 500$ gift card to one of the best restaurants in town so he could take his wife out.

I do not know any AD. But I hope to know one who would do this.
