Is This QR Code Still on New Rolex Watches?

Doing some due diligence on a watch (trust the seller, but verifying other aspects).

Are these QR codes still showing up on new watches at ADs? One on watch I am looking at is from Fall 2021. Realize many don’t have any stickers once they leave the AD, but would appreciate anybody who has seen this on new models of late.

Cheers.

I just picked up my OP41 earlier this month from my AD and it has the QR code. Although, it’s in the actual sticker and not on an external white patch, but same thing nonetheless.

Thanks. Yes, I was specifically seeing if the white QR code is still a thing. Have seen before, but all my watches had historically had the clear one.

For more context, simply trying to determine if the watch is dated appropriately.

They’re both in use still. Hard to say what the difference is between the two.

I purchased a RG YM40 at the beginning of 2020 with the clear QR code. The case was damaged at the RSC during bracelet swap and they replaced the entire case with new matching serial case. That case arrived with the the white QR code.

Not saying this is a watch case that’s been replaced in your situation, but just stating both QR styles are still in use. I’ve seen more of the white QRs on Tudors as of late.

Its just a plastic sticker nothing more and most are removed at point of sale, and no matter the sticker when bought new from any AD they still get the same warranty.

Thanks, all.

Trying to understand if late 2021 new models are still coming with the black and white versus clear in some instances.

Yes they all still have this code. I don’t know if this is a generic code or unique to a single watch. Does anyone know?

From what I understand, it's just a tracking sticker while at the factory. Once the watch is sent to the AD, it is useless.

My 2016 Daytona (new version with ceramic bezel) came with clear sticker code on side of case. I left it on!

I wonder if there is a distinction between Rolex USA and Rolex International. I am seeing both, but more the clear than the white “patch” over the clear sticker.

Yes usually pulled before it gets to the floor for customer to take home. The ones that go out the back door to the Grey market seem to have them more often in my experience.

My Tudor Black Bay came with one. I think it comes on all Rolex/Tudors.

Anyone with a 2021 year watch with the white QR code?

Is the white QR code an international (non-US) watch?

Most are clear stickers with the QR code but it’s really not of any importance. I have seen these white ones also. Most Ads remove them.

Your question seems to be if the white tiny sticker is still adhered to Rolex’s when new. I have not seen the white stickers on any new Rolex I have purchased since maybe 2017/18. They’ve all come with the black QR incorporated into the long clear side protector sticker, and I’ve received quite a number of new Rolex over those 3 to 4 years. Possibly someone placing an old style white sticker onto a new watch alleging it’s BNIB with stickers (a common upsell ploy)? Could that be the motivation for your thread? Are you looking to buy a 2021 watch which is being presented to you with these characteristics?

Exactly right. Brokered through a trusted seller here, via their dealer. October 2021 on the card. Everything seemingly looks ok, but I had not seen the white QRs since 2016/17.

As a 124060, the oldest the watch could be is 2020, the year of its release.

Some screenshots from an HD video that was shared with me re: the watch.
