A bit of a different incoming/outgoing

The first Rolex I bought from my current AD was in 2019 and was a SubC. I wanted it as something I could use while doing physical things and not worry about PCLs etc (would never call it a ‘beater’).
I love the watch but became intrigued with the comfort difference in the 41 (shout out to Mystro for his write up). Didn’t care about movement, AR etc. just fit as some say it’s closer to a 5 digit, which I have as well. I’ve tried the 41 on but it’s hard to tell when unsized.
Well my AD is leaving the watch business and we have become friends over the years so we stopped by to say goodbye.
So I asked for his one last official opinion on this. He said I could only decide but try it on again…I walked out with the 41.
So the first and last transaction from my dear friend was one SubC for another.
Had no idea I’d be coming home with a new piece today but for those who are searching for an answer like I was, it does fit better on me…Sorry for the long post

Agreed! 41mm more comfortable than Submariner I purchased in 2017 (my first Rolex). Adding Sub date when available.

Rolex corrected all the questionable design issues that the blocky maxi case Sub took over the years with the Sub41. It’s the first modern Sub that feels about perfect from a design and implementation point of view.

Agree Mystro and as mentioned your write up really took me down this road. I loved the fit of my 5 digit but much prefer the 6 digit

Thanks. What was nice is that this was a cashless trade. I don’t think I would have done this if cash was involved as the 40 was fine, but the 41 just fits better for me
