Opposite for me - during lock downs was wearing my Garmin forerunner 945 a lot as I was doing more outdoor exercise … I wore it for the first time in a while last week for a few days and hated the constant bombardment of info and notifications - gladly put it back in the drawer

There are two types of people: Those who love watches and those who don't.

I'm glad my wife has always been into watches and fairly recently I converted her to being quite a Rolex fan as well

I've asked about getting her an Apple and she said no way!

Once my apple watch 2 (i think) stopped working i never replaced it. I have taken email/twitter/ all social media off my phone, i automatically silence notifications 6pm-7:30am. I was just getting bombarded constantly and never was not working. That email will still be there in the morning.

Clearly they don't! The apple watch can be dumbed down to not show any notifications or do any tracking but then people lose the argument against the tech.

Thanks, but no thanks. Maybe when I get old and need some sort of health monitoring but until then, absolutely not.

If Rolex made a smartwatch I bet the majority of this forum would run to buy one and then claim how amazing a smart watch is.

If they look exactly like a Rolex, SS and all, and not ugly like a smart watch, I mean maybe.

They don't know, and some things are too difficult to explain to some people.

I also find myself wearing my Apple watch way more than my Rolex watches. However I will never be one of those guys who wear a smart watch and a mechanical watch at the same time...

This is the first thing I do with any smart watch I buy. I'll never understand why others don't turn it off

I was wearing a Garmin for a couple of months. Now wearing an Apple 7 watch. I have an Apple 3 that I disliked because it shut down to preserve battery. This one just ratchets down the lighting. I use the timer, I also time walks. I like that it’s easy to change the face. I have good pictures of us on vacation. I rotate between faces.
