1680 Red, Certified Preowned Rolex at Mayors

Was killing time at Mayors yesterday while waiting on a repair from the Apple Store. Usual exhibition watches in store, the surprise was the CPO section. Came across this one and did not realize the Rolex CPO program covered vintage watches. Last year for the red was 1975 so minimum 48 years old. Looked on-line and some 1960's Speedmasters are for sale as well. No deals to be had but was definitely a surprise to see this one. Curious what the group thinks the CPO would add to the value?

I think the value added would probably be comparable to that of an established big name vintage dealer. However, I wonder if that watch has service hands. Some look extremely white, which is not surprising for a watch that was service by Rolex. If so, the value takes a substantial hit.

Interesting. Cool find. I didn’t know they did that. With the hands and magnification looking fairly off it’s kind of odd too.

I didn't see that the OP mentioned the price. What are they asking?

Edit: I see one online for $30k, but it doesn't look quite the same.

Can’t say for sure the one online is the same as the one I saw in the store. Both are priced at $30k.

I remember visiting the Bucherer Time Machine in NYC in 2021 and they had some vintage Rolex watches for sale with ridiculous prices. I remember a Red Sub there was around $40k at the time. I’m not really sure it made any sense at all.
