Sea Dweller 126660 Clasp

Hi all.. I just noticed for the first time on the side of my clasp next to the screw there is another little circle.. almost looks like a guide for a drill bit. Anybody else notice this? Do you know what it is for?

Looks like a 3 part link held together with knurled pins that go all the way through.

Mine appears to have it too, on the diver extension portion of the bracelet. Never noticed until now.
