JLC vs Zenith

Hivemind:

I'm still all over the place with what I want (new vs. vintage, etc) but among two modern refs I'm considering:

the JLC ultra thin

the Zenith Elite ultra thin

Both are rose gold, time-only dress watches with exhibition casebacks, but the similarities kinda end there. The JLC is considerably smaller at 34mm, and is a manual wind. The Zenith is 40mm and an automatic. The JLC is a two-hander; the the Zenith has a small-seconds complication (unconventionally, at 9).

Just wondering, if you were deliberating between these two, which would you be inclined toward and why? Anyone have experience with either (or both--unlikely, I know)? Pricing is comparable/equivalent here---in the 5-6k range, USD.

Nod to Google Images for pix.

At 34 the JLC is a non-starter for me. Entirely too small for my wrist. I also prefer a running seconds hand. So, of these two the Zenith wins.

The Zenith for size and appearance. The 34mm is a no go for me.

I like the JLC more but the size is too small for me, if you can pull it off go for it. The zenith is interesting, and a better size for me.
