In the site formerly known as DM London - (it's now called "Time Squared")

Not sure if these are still hard to find, but hey, it's there.

Ask for Michael, tell him Bobby referred ya!

They're relatively easy to get hold of now, but a nice gesture regardless

I am not sure if it's the rates of the USD, I'm seeing import pieces going for below retail here. And local sets are also going below retail and only a couple of hundreds more than imported ones.

It had been over a year since I sold mine, I was so tempted to give it another go, but I couldn't get over the bracelet.... Else, it would have been the perfect tool watch for me...

again, the Uk market is diferent to the US market, and in 99.5% of the case here you wont get discount for SS models - unless you are a certain shareholder or have a good relationship with the AD

No discounts on SS models in the UK. The UK economy is not quite as deep in the brown stuff.

There are a few DSSDs in Canary Wharf as well - Goldsmith's and David Robinson.

In the US, you get 15% - 20% of dssd. Depends on the sales rep at the AD. At the same shop, 1 sales rep offered no discount, while the next day, another offer 15% on the spot if i buy immediately.

x3 on the no discounts on SS Sports models. ADs really don't need to discount them to shift them. You can get a token discount at best

Why pay retail??? Come to the States, get a $2500.00-$3000.00 discount. I'll pay for your trip and then some.

Not quite right!!!

It is easy to pick up a BNIB UK supplied Rolex Deepsea for a bit less than 5K.

Thus saving almost £750, a not inconsiderable discount.

If you should go to an AD and pay list then you either have too much money or not enough faith in the sellers on this or other Rolex forums.

Rolexroz

P.S. This is not a for sale advert it is merely pointing out that discounts are available, especially in the UK. The unfortunate thing is that we are mostly too shy to enquire in the first place.

Atl,
I take it that was a typo "I'll pay for your trip and then some" You might have a few UK members PMing you for you to pay for their trip...and some! Quick put a 'T' in there after that I

In my local ADs they have the Deepsea. They also have...

116619 and 116509 (silver dial). I was excited to see those gorgeous white gold models in person.

116613 (both blue and black dials)

I'm not sure how rare or hard these are to get. I'm in just outside of London. PM if you want the AD details.

So right, a slip of the keypad. But honestly, if anyone wants to shop in Atlanta, where it seems every flight seems to land in the USA, I'll show you a great time, just not pay for the ticket. Southern hospitality, can't beat it! Even have excellent fish and chips, and GREAT Indian food, we have a large Indian population here, you would be welcome. I can even do a great fry-up with eggs, beans, toast, and bangers. We Americans come from everywhere, my family came over on the boat from Ireland.

Please PM me details of the AD. Never come across this kind of discount in the UK.

now come thinking of it... would it be the saving of the 15% VAT? (ie. VAT refund?!?)

I am not going to name the AD as I dont want to compromise my own situation by upsetting them, but I am up North near Leeds...and the dealer is local to me..that should narrow it down somewhat for you...I have bought a few watches from them, not lots, but I am a customer of theirs. How they would treat someone they have never dealt with I have no idea.

that makes sense now danny. That how an AD should look after their loyal customers - after all you have already invested enough from earlier purchases.
Thanks for the info.
