Price of comex 16600 latest

Hi guys

just came home from work, you guys in the other side of the planet must be sleeping... sucks being in a different time zone (no pun intended)

I am not sure if this is the correct section for this post but i needed some advice.

i know that the last comex seddweller was produced around 1997 as model 16600 i believe (i do stand corrected by owners and others). its looks to be the same as the current line but had the comex wording on the dial.

May i enquire as to the price of one of these dream watches in US dollars or australian dollars? i understand that it will be NOS, used, NIB etc.

I am only asking the price of this model as on a junior attorneys salary i dont think i can justify a comex sub, red sub, red sd, super expensive models etc.

I have never seen a comex seadweller in life, just have pics that our fellow friends have been sharing and i do want a seadweller.

If its out of my game then it will be the new seadweller purchased in auckland or sydney.

cheers and thanks
don

Dear Steve

i went to one site from yahoo search and the person had a brand new unworn comex with all the documentation from rolex etc. he was asking for $US18,000.00. This was dated 2002 so pointless i think.

I didnt want to ask andrea as he is selling one but there seems to be a lot of tension surrounding that sale. i pretty sure he is asking for serious cash i.e. a la cream dial explorer.

Hey Don,

Just for info only but here is a nice Double Red Seadweller at Nick Hackos in Mosman Sydney.

http://clockmaker.com.au/w/k178.html

No price on the listing now but it did have $27750.00 when originally listed.

hi don
not that keen on the "comex" sea dweller IMO it just looks like a new sd with some advertising, perhaps im missing the point, but the proper vintage, now your talking im seriously looking into one, but finding a good one might be harder .i think its a waiting game to find a nice one, still im more than pleased with my new one

The coolest thing about the Comex SD, is that you can buy the same watch that they use, just without the logo. Now that is what I call a real tool watch.

ScanDay .. Did someone say Scanday ..

Dont get me started on those please.
I have done too many of my watches with Cyclops removed and have been shouted at too much .

But, On the other hand ... Could be fun .... But NOT on a Friday please .

Icon14 There are some good AD's...

In both Sydney and Melbourne . I believe there is also a good one in Aukland NZ. JJ knows where it is.

Cheers Peter

I have never understood the fascination with this watch. It's nothing but a ND Sub with a logo. BFD.

Can some explain the emporer's new clothes to me.

My guess would simply be that people want it, because they can't easily have it, no more or less.
