Haha yeah... saw that a while back and when I first read it I had to do a double take LOL!
JJ had a PO as well from what I recall. He's tried every brand of watch there is, probably even RADO!

I was searching for more information on the Aqua Terra and when I saw JJ's review (the ONLY review at TZ), I flipped too!!
I can understand how fast the taste can change. You guys should check out the paragraph under "Dial and Hands". Here's the quote : "The superbly finished black dial on my watch is positively the best black I've seen on any and even makes the black of my Submariner look pale by comparison. " |

It doesn't surprise me that JJ or anyone else would write a review with high praise for Omega becuase let's face it, they make excellent watches. We are all fortunate consumers because there are so many companies making nice watches these days.

And, yes, there is no doubt the black dial of the AT is one of the finest out there. You have to see this dial in person to know what I'm talking about. OMEGA - top notch value for money....but poor on resale. If you buy one, then just decide to keep it. JJ

JJ is right about that dial.
It almost looks like it is liquid filled. It has got to be the smoothest black dial I have ever seen in my life. Here is a pic of my AquaTerra Chrono, and trust me... pics don't do that black dial justice. In person it looks like the markers and hands are floating in a black pool of engine oil.

That's a beautiful watch I tried it out at the AD but went for a Speedmaster Pro Limited Ed. And JJ, I enjoyed reading that review. |

Possibly because JJ's gotten sheepish in his latter years?

Costco *had* a 2502.50, so while I was picking up a couple kilos of paper towels, food and other sundries, I tried it on... Tried a Breitling GMT first, but as you said, the BLACK DIAL on the AT is so seductive...

Re-sale is a myth
If you buy them used or nib with a 30% or more discount you will not loose much on them at all; depending on the model.
